A little about our infrastructure

HostaVPS owns and manages it’s own servers and software, however we choose to co-locate our gear at the Burst.net data center in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The Burst.net data center has the physical & electronic security, bandwidth availability, fire suppression, and redundant power systems our clients need for today’s demanding applications.


The Internation Internet backbone HostaVPS uses is ranked among the top in the world. Connections ranging from OC192, OC48, and 10GigE (10,000Mbps) form rings connecting our core routers.

Our self-healing network architecture virtually eliminates a single point of failure. In addition to our own backbone, we also purchase backup transit from multiple providers in multiple locations to ensure that your data will arrive via the shortest possible routes. Because of our backup transit and the many international peers, our network maintains the shortest routes for sending your data all over the world. On an ongoing basis, we are negotiating with the top fiber carriers for new routes, additional backup transit providers, and we are signing on new peering relationships.


Our facility has been designed around a single objective: to protect your data. We think of our data centers as the Fort Knox of Web hosting. Each have multiple layers of defense against a variety of threats: fire, flood, power failure, physical intrusion - you name it, we're prepared.
