How to enable SSH Terminal for FTP user within Plesk?

 

The following tutorial will show you how to enable SSH access for any domain name in Plesk. This will allow any FTP user to connect using SSH (Secure Shell).

How to enable:

  1. Login to SSH (Secure Shell – This information can be found in the welcome email)
  2. Click on the "Domains"
  3. Click on the domain you wish to make changes to
  4. You will see that the "SSH Terminal" is disabled currently
  5. Click on "Setup"
  6. Scroll down and select "/bin/bash" for Shell access

Now, you will be able to login via SSH using your favorite SSH program such as Putty or Terminal.
