How do I change the PHP versions on my VPS?

Changing your PHP version isn't complicated. However, we do suggest that you follow the below steps in order to make this process smoother:

  1. Login to your WHM (Web Host Manager)
  2. Locate the "Service configuration" option on the left hand pane
  3. Click on "PHP & PHPSUEXEC"

Suggested Configuration:

We suggest (if you need chmod 777 ability) to change the PHP5 to "DSO" and leave the PHP4 as "suPHP". This configuration is normally the best and works out in most cases.

Feel free to experiment with the configurations, but the above one is the most commonly used.
