I am no longer able to receive my emails, why?

This can happen if you're /etc/localdomains file doesn't contain your domain name. This is an extremely rare case, but should be checked. The error could be like this:

"dnsmagic.com. - xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx [Could not connect: Got an unknown RCPT TO response: 451 Temporary local problems - please try later]"

By default the /etc/localdomains should look something like this:

Domain1.com
Domain2.com
Domain3.com
Domain4.com

Domain*.com means, that the domains here are the domains that are hosted in your VPS. If you have an external email say, Domain5.com is going elsewhere then it should be in the /etc/remotedomains. Below is a basic breakdown:

/etc/localdomains – Domains that are hosted in the VPS (mail will not work if your domain isn't in here)
/etc/remotedomains – Domains that are hosted on your VPS, but the email is going outside the VPS.

If you don't see the domain that you are trying to trouble shoot in either one of these, by doing the following commands (below), then you should manually add them in.

# cat /etc/localdomains
# cat /etc/remotedomains
